Assignment 5
There is very little to say as the work is pretty much resolved. Your commentary covers all the points that we have previously discussed which is fine, one thing to note and correct is the fact that you are way over the word count and you have included a lot of material that is not really necessary for this assignment, such as the Learning Outcomes and the Evaluation Criteria. That isn’t to say you should delete them but include on your blog and utilise when you are creating your final submission.
Remember to resolve the missing link prior to submission and make sure all links are working. Consider illustrating your work within the text, or submitting as a pdf with the work.
Prior to submission ensure that you proof read all work. This is often hard to do as you have lived this project so ask a friend or relative to check it for you.
Consider how and what you are going to submit for assessment and plan for that. Your evaluation can be taken from the assignment but it needs to be controlled. Remember to discuss your process, evaluate your decisions and support them. For example, why this type of exhibition, why platinum prints and this layout. Use assignment five to inform your reflection.
Finally, SYP has given you the skill set now how do you plan to use them? How has it helped you move from student to freelance practitioner?
Feedback based on Learning Outcomes
LO1 You have taken onboard the points raised over our discussions and this has been documented both within you assignments and on your blog. You have recorded the journey of both the production of you book and exhibition and considered your actions well. The final step now is to pull these together in a more controlled way ready for final assessment.
LO2 It is often hard to show your reflective path as an artist but you have shown your growth in this area through your blog and the assignment submission, this now needs to be summarised for the final assessment.
LO3 You have pushed yourself outside your comfort zone on a number of occasions and your work has benefited for it. Taking onboard feedback and reflecting has resulted in a stronger narrative.
You have grown your network and utilised resources that enhance your project and support your work without distraction.
4 You have explored different mediums to show your work and justified why they work for this project. This shows a foundation for future projects and that you are will to explore.
LO5 Presenting your work isn’t easy but you have shown that you have the ability to do this through attending on-line events and local interest groups. As you grow as a practitioner this will become easier.

- Plan for submission and conder the ways you would like the assessors to see your work.
